January sees a new surge of landlords selling their portfolios for higher prices than 2023
There’s good news for landlords who have postponed selling their rental properties despite falling profits and new legislation making the private rental sector less appealing to most landlords.
2024 has already seen a surge of buyers returning to market amid falling mortgage rates following with Zoopla reporting buyer demand at the end of the first week of January was more than 10% ahead of the same period a year ago.

The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) has sparked fury as Universal Credit (UC) applicants face extensive demands to confirm their eligibility.

Multi Unit Freehold Block (MUFB) Investments?
Hi All, I have invested in a few MUFB last year. They are historic conversions of terraced houses in London with planning permission to be used as two flats with separate utilities, council tax etc.

Rent rises set a record in 2023 amid landlord costs and housing shortage
Renters in the UK paid an extra £1,488 per year on average in 2023 as rent prices soared by a record high of 10.2% year-on-year in December, according to a new report.
The research from Hamptons, found that rent prices broke 2022’s record of 7.7%.

Hi, I have a working tenant who wants to bring her boyfriend to live with her. Her tenancy says just her and we have rent guarantee insurance.
She says she will continue to be responsible for the rent and does not want to add him to the tenancy.
