West of England Landlord Expo exhibition
Rental Property Show:
West of England landlords can learn much more about property investment at this Bristol event to be held at the Exhibition and Conference Centre, University of the West of England, Wednesday, June 13, between 11am and 6pm
Landlords will get advice on investments, tax and rental property law changes at this, the biggest property exhibition of its kind in the south west.
There will be comprehensive programme of seminars, stands representing all issues connected with renting – information on tax issues and insurance for landlords, property investment advice and landlord finance options.
The organisers say that the aim of the West of England Landlord Expo is to improve the private rented sector in the region by sharing information with landlords, prospective landlords, letting agents and managers.
All seminars will be free to attend and do not require any pre-booking.
There will be more than 90 exhibitors at this year’s West of England Landlord Expo ranging from financial experts, tax advisors, and solicitors, letting agents, trades people and suppliers.
The event is aimed at anyone who is already a landlord or letting agent, or who is considering entering the private rental market.
The organisers say that private landlords are facing an ever increasing list of legal requirements that they need to comply with which, in addition to recent tax changes, meaning that for many landlords their profits will be reduced.
Councillor Paul Smith, Bristol City Council cabinet member for housing, says:
“This event will outline what is expected of landlords but also provide them with practical advice and support to help them meet these expectations.
“We want to work with landlords to make sure that all their properties meet the standards we expect in the city and we hope that this event helps both landlords and tenants to get the best out of their properties.
“If we all work together we can continue to improve housing conditions across the city.
The event is organised by the four West of England councils; South Gloucestershire, Bristol, North Somerset and Bath & North East Somerset and takes place on Wednesday, June 13, between 11am and 6pm.
Entry, parking and refreshments are free, paid for by event sponsors and exhibitors.
