Labour is gearing up for a tax raid on landlords – claim
Chancellor Rachel Reeves is facing mounting calls from Labour MPs to impose new taxes on landlords, aiming to address a looming budget deficit without breaking the party’s promise to avoid tax hikes on ‘working people’.
The news comes as a survey carried out by the National Residential Landlords Association found that 83% of landlords are worried about a hike in Capital Gains Tax when selling a rental property.

Section 21 struck out?
I have had a Section 21 claim struck out because “The Notice Seeking Possession” is not in the prescribed form.
It seems that the N5B form, which I downloaded from a popular landlord forum, is outdated as it does not mention updated advice on the possibility of receiving a “Breathing Space”

Buy to let mortgage arrears fall
The number of buy to let mortgages in arrears has fallen by 6% from the previous quarter, reaching 11,830, or 0.61% of all BTL loans, data from UK Finance reveals.
It also reveals that there has been a big decline in mortgage arrears for the first quarter of 2025
